Summer 2018: Middle School Students

Welcome to the middle school video selections for Summer 2018!

1. Click on the Play Video button to watch the film. You may watch the film as many times as you wish.
2. Click on the Online Questions button for the reflection questions for the film. You will need to fill in your name and select your school from the 2017-18 school year drop down menu. Talk with your parents about your responses and then ask them to help you type in your thoughts in the boxes provided.
3. When you finish, click on the submit button.

    According to an Associated Press/MTV survey of more than 1,200 14- to 24-year-olds, 50 percent have been harassed online or by text messages. It’s time for adults and kids to understand cyberbullying’s impact and to learn what not to “say” and post online.

  • Honor

    Chioma Oteh tries not to tell lies, but sometimes she does and feels remorse. After going to see a movie that her mother didn’t want her to see, she couldn’t sleep and had to tell the truth. This is called a conscience and it’s the key to ethical and honorable behavior.

  • Isaiah

    Isaiah wants to change the image of men of color. He wants people to see the good that young black men do in today’s society.”If we all could come together I feel like we’d be unstoppable.”

  • Peer Pressure

    Albeth used to ditch school and hang out at a friend’s house, and by middle school he was in a gang. When he was 13, his friends’ peer pressure convinced him to bring a gun to school. Luckily, another student came forward and turned him in. Albeth’s so-called friends took off, and he went to juvenile hall.
